Annatto Oil, Achiote Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp annatto seeds
- 1 cup corn oil
Procedure:
Place the annato seeds and oil in a small frying pan. Cook on medium low until a deep orange color is achieved, do not let overcook. Set aside and let cool. Strain. Throw out the seeds and only use the oil. Place in crystal container and refrigerate.
