Fried Green Plantains, Tostones Recipe
- 2 green plantain
- Oil for frying
Heat the oil in a skillet or saucepan over medium high heat. Peel and slice the plantains in wheels about 1/2 inch wide, and cast it into the oil. Cook until the plantains are golden brown. Take them out of the oil and crush with a tostonera. Then cook again until they are as crisp on the outside and soft inside.
