Caramelized Banana, Guineos Niños Caramelizados Recipe
- 16 guineos niños
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 cup dark rum or brandy
- 4 leaves of basil or fresh mint
- Vanilla ice cream to taste
In a skillet melt the butter and add the sugar. Remove the peel from the guineos and throw them into the pan. Saute the with the sugar and butter for about 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, add the liquor and let it boil over medium heat for 3 minutes. Cut the basil or mint into thin strips and add to the preparation. Serve the guineos with with its sauce in a glass and place a slice of vanilla ice cream on them.
