Flancocho with Caramelized Bananas Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas diced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp banana liqueur
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 6 oz white chocolate
  • 6 slices of Saralee Cake

    Procedure:

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a pan fry the bananas with 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 3 tbsp of butter for 1 minute and add the banana liquor and rum, cook for 2 min and let cool. In the blender mix  the eggs, heavy cream, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, raisins and chocolate. In a greased mold place the cake cut into pieces and pour the mixture over them, bake for approx. 45 minutes. Serve warm with the bananas on top.
