Hot Buttered Rum Recipe
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 lb confectioners sugar, sifted
- 1 lb light brown sugar, sifted
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 1/2 oz dark rum
- cinnamon or nutmeg
Blend the sugars with the butter until smooth. Add the ice cream and blend until smooth and creamy. Place in the freezer tightly sealed. Place two tbsp of the mix in a highball glass. Add 1 1/2 oz dark rum. Pour 6 oz of boiling water over the mix. Stir until the mix melts. Sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg.
